GZOK Kikinda
Gzok Kikinda was a web design project for a local volleyball club aimed at creating a comprehensive online platform for managing the team and its operations. Although the project was halted due to internal issues within the club, it remains an important milestone in my career. At the time of suspension, the site was near completion, with a focus on building a user management system for coaches. This system was intended to help coaches efficiently manage player profiles, track membership payments, and assign players to teams. While the project didn't reach its final stage, the experience was invaluable and greatly contributed to my growth as a designer and developer. It taught me critical lessons about client communication, project management, and implementing advanced features in user-based systems.
- Client Consultation and Initial Design
The project began with a deep dive into understanding the club’s needs and expectations. We discussed a comprehensive system to manage players, coaches, and team operations. Based on these conversations, I created an initial design that was both user-friendly and functional for the club's specific requirements. - System Development (User Management)
The main feature of the website was a user management system for coaches. I built the framework to allow coaches to register players, edit player profiles, track membership payments, and assign players to specific teams. This system was designed to streamline the club's administrative tasks and enhance team management. - Site Development and Testing
As I developed the site, I focused on making sure it was responsive and functional across all devices. The user management system was thoroughly tested to ensure smooth registration and profile management. - Project Suspension and Communication
The project was unfortunately suspended due to internal issues within the club. However, I maintained open lines of communication with the client throughout, and while the site was not launched, the core functionalities were developed and ready to be finalized. - Lessons Learned
Despite the project being cut short, it taught me valuable lessons about project management, client relations, and dealing with unexpected challenges. This experience helped refine my technical skills and provided insights into how to manage complex websites with advanced features.
